Pendant with Blue Opalized Petrified Wood cabochon set in sterling silver surrounded by sterling twisted wire by BeaDyK.

Petrified Blue Opalized Wood from Indonesia is captured in this handmade setting of Sterling silver. This teardrop shaped stone derives it's beautiful color from the minerals copper and manganese in the ground and water that it was buried in for millions of years!

Set atop this unusual stone are 2 others. Just off center is a round simulated opal and below is a rose cut Amethyst. The entire setting is surrounded by a twisted Sterling silver wire.

Hung on a 20" sterling silver rolo chain. From top of bail to bottom tip of setting measures 1 and 3/4" and at widest point is 3/4". All original, all handmade, all one of a kind.

Sure to bring you "Joy" each time it is worn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated?

Gold-filled materials are an excellent alternative to solid gold, offering gold's characteristic warm yellow or blushing rose tones at a fraction of the cost. At the same time, gold-filled is more durable and retains more value than gold-plated pieces.

The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film, as is the case with gold-plated items. The karat gold covering also significantly increases the tarnish resistance of the base metal substrate.

"14/20" definition: "14/20" gold-filled material is made with 14-karat gold, and the gold represents 1/20th (or 5%) of the total weight of the material.
